My dear theray2006 I see what you are saying, the reason is that we Baha'is believe that before we will have unity we will have the lesser peace first. I believe is what we are in now. It will take much suffering before we see the Unity of the whole world, but we have now unity within the Baha'i community. Check out some of the Baha'i community in your area. We have people that come, believe or not, from the Jewish and Islam faith and they are at peace with one another.

The Christian Bible predates Muhammad and Islam by more than 575 years. The Jewish Torah predates Muhammad and Islam by 1,000 - 3,000 years. Muhammad said for Muslims to read the Bible for "Guidance and Light." For Islam to say they are corrupted, then is to call Muhammad a liar for recommending it.The same Bible Muhammad would have seen (if he ever did) is in both (1) The Vatican (Codex Vaticanus) and (2) British Museum (Codex Sinaticus).

Jesus said he was the son of God. not God. Ok he never said that but when Peter told him you are the son of God and messiah he pretty much praised Peter.

This still has a very bad affect on the psychology of the homosexual baha'is involved. We see the same trend in Christian and Islamic groups in the west, and such repression will have the same affect. I would also bring attention to the words of Shoghi Effendi on this: a very outdated idea that homosexuality is a mental abhorration.I would be careful not to think my comments are an attack: I'm a Quaker, I believe in peace. I'm simply witnessing what I've found in the faith.

In his letter to Timothy, Paul writes, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). The Greek word translated rightly dividing is "orthotomeo", and is used only this one time in the Scriptures. It means to cut straight, to make a true and accurate division - to separate the lies from the TRUTH! (See John 14:6 & John 8:32 & John 18:37b)

Pt. 2 - However, look at the Jews' reaction to His statement, "We are not stoning you for any of these, replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God" (John 10:33). The Jews understood Jesus' statement to be a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying, "I did not claim to be God."

Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the exact words, "I am God." ???That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus' words in John 10:30, "I and the Father are one." At first glance, this might not seem to be a claim to be God. |
