People that choose to hurt themselves are soley responsible for their actions. People took drugs and killed themselves way before Youtube, TV, etc. If we choose to ignore these people's creativity and censor it all, then all the junkies out their are going to feel very worthless, iscolated and alone and will probably then want to die. Maybe it was the fact that people did listen to John and gave him recognition at this time that got him through it. Did you ever think of that Mr Smarty Pants?

What nonsense!!! This film is art, it was not made to encourage anyone to do anything that they were not already doing. If anything, watching this will give drug addicts hope that they too, like John, can kick their habit a live a better life. As a recovering heroin junky I can honestly say that I am grateful I no longer live that way from watching this. John has definitely been a great inspiration for me as I've fought my addiction(thanks John). He is also an amazing musician.

no prob. I would definitely read "scar tissue." It talks a lot about Hillel from AK's view. (careful though, its pretty graphic in terms of language and AK's sexual exploits) but an interesting read nonetheless if you are into the peppers. Its really detailed. Also, it gives a thorough expose on what its like to be a drug addict. Anthony's life is really interesting.

I agree that JF defines a lot of the sound of the RHCP, but if you read Anthony Kiedes's autobiography "scar tissue" he holds Hillel in just as high as regard as Frusciante. hillel would probably still be in the band if he hadnt have ODed.

things like this are a bit dangerous to release as they encourage any idiot to live like that on the promise of one day coming good. Most will never come good but die in and among what you are looking at.
