Interesting, i have lived, save 4 years in the military, all my life in Bruce's home town and relate much to the man's words. I like it here, it will always be home. This is a nice tune from a local kid made good. Bruce knows where he came from, he still sticks his head in at Feds and folks pay little attention. A few years back I took a pie to his table, never said a word to him, just dropped it and went, nice looking family. Rock on Boss man and say hi to d and Grant.

I think this is narrow minded and the view of one trying to fit the "in" crowd. With the false condescending tone ('sigh') and pretence of world weariness you assume some kind of highground. Unfortuantely this gives you a projected image of someone who takes themselves "way to seriously"; hence, a hypocrite. I'm English and don't hate the Americans, even though it's the "cool" thing to do. And whether we like it or not, they ARE currently top. We're all just human. They're not better *people*.

*sigh* You Americans take your selfs way to seriously. Thats why you dont realize that the rest of the world hates you. All i did was to point this out and said the the only American I truly really respect is Bruce Springsteen, deal with it! You´re NOT top of the foodchain
