a lot of this was composed using tape reels, not synthesizers. the bass loop was actually sliced together using a lot of techniques used today

I really dont know what instrument it is but it is a realy good theme. And the steptoe and son main theme. The steptoe and son rides again piano theme was good.

there were a few very large synthisizers in labs at that time, they might have been using an ems synthi 100...

Is halo pads a sound on the keyboard? You do realise this was made before keybords or synths were invented.

Halo pads are deffinatly in it because ive got these exact sounds on my keyboard. I think the first instrument is (and im not sure) called a base saw.

sort of sythenised base and halo pads. I could be wrong but i still think this is a really good piece of music

Compossed by Ron Grainer. The theme was realised by Delia Derbyshire.
