Ok, my take.I am 52, this Album from the 1970s' talks about the shit the rockers and bands put up with on the road. In 1972, the long hair was the tatoo of today. Is that a woman or a man, I have listened to 1000 times as a rodie in the mid-70s. This is a dis on my long hair... everyone else had "crew cuts" ... you either were for the war in Vietnam , or a ... "long hair, hippie type, pinko, fag " ... !If you were there, you know what I am talking about.If not, go find "long hair, hippie type

i thought it was for riders (you know harley etc guys etc because of this "is it woman or a man.. long hair etc) but for truckers... its a logical excuse too.. anyway even if it was written for any other reason i love the song.. and the metallica cover is cool too.. havier. :) keep rocking..
