No guitar player can make such melodic licks. Allother are just noises. Knopfler is injecting an entire different melody from the song. genius!

Yeah.You are so right about that. I'm glad to read a comment like the one you made. When a person is in the same class as Knopfler & Clapton there's no such thing as "who's better" It's just a matter of taste!

It is pathetic and inaccurate to compare one guitar player to another in the belief that one player is "better" than another. There is only "different" as music is a subjective thing. |
