Dude, you're just going to have to accept that when you're on the internet many people want to get their message across as fast as possible, and they do that by shortening their words. Now, as far as I'm concerned, this isn't due to a lack of proper education, but simply stems from the desire to communicate a message very quickly. You understood what he was saying, so what's the problem? You're NEVER going to change how people on the internet talk, so you might as well accept it.

It is not "internet speak". It is a self-perpetuating bastardization of a language through lenient public schooling leading to lack of a proper education, lack of the respect for communication and language in general.
