My country of origin is Syria, and I recently visited Syria. It is so beautiful outside the busy cities. There are so many historical landmarks to visit there, especially the beautiful remains of ancient castles dating from way back to Roman rule. I should also mention that I absolutely adore the beauty of the water wheels, particularly in Hamah! It is a wonderful place to be! ^_^

90% of people in Syria are Muslims, but Syria is very tolerance when it comes to religion. You can walk in many streets in Syria and find a church and a Mosque next to eachother.

I went two months ago to a lot of places in the middle east. Go there. History people culture so much to see and learn. Do not believe the us government propaganda. I did not have one problem as an american. Please go So much fun and great people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
