PC World's Senior Editor Kalpana Ettenson guides you through the features of the HP Pavilion tx1000, an ultraportable that converts to a tablet PC. The 12.1-inch touchscreen lacks an antireflective coating, but it's sensitive to touch and can adjust screen orientation. It may not be the best travel option due to short battery life. Visit www.pcworld.com/videos for more news, reviews and how-to's.

I wouldn't, save your money and buy something else. While this one was in the shop once I bought a Acer loaner laptop the Extensa 5630z. Cheap, simple and quite powerful for the price you pay, it's nothing to look at, and it's quite mediocre but I'd take it over this anyday.

Thank you. I Hate This Computer. It's a novelty computer and nothing else.

It is very true. My mobo died 15 months after use. I was lucky enough to purchase an extended warranty.

I wish the reviewers who tell the true would stand up or sit down and tell the true to you and I, loudly tell the true to you and I. We all want true.

This laptop will most likely die. Mine has and a lot of others too. If you want a 1000 dollar vegetable of a laptop after a year then buy this or else stay away from HP. Most users who have this laptop have mobo problems right out of the warranty period so we are de screwed.

Worst computer in the world. The screen is terrible on the eyes, it looks like someone put a dotted sticker foil over the screen... it always looks smudged. It's slow, takes ages to boot up and is REALLY noisy and runs REALLY hot. I can't believe I made it through my first year of uni with that machine! Ugh.

Your video card will crap out in about a year. Do not buy this computer. If you want more feed back go to Hp forum.

This computer is poorly made. I ran into so many hardware problems. T.T
