It also taught our leaders to put their country first and be worthy of leadership. Easily forgotten by our lying, cheating worthless politicians who discrace our land and people.

It always makes me laugh at Hollywood versions that concentrate on the love triangle when there is so much more to the story. A truly great film. All the better for the lack of CGI as someone else mentioned

Siegfried's Funeral March is one of the best pieces of music ever written. Excalibur makes perfect use of it. If Wagner were able to see this I bet he would love what Boorman did with his music.

For all of you fans of this John Boorman epic, be sure to check out Richard Wagner's "The Ring". Where the music is from. Its interesting to see how similar the two stories are. Not to mention "The Lord of the Rings" by Tolkien. All classics but deffinately products of one another.

Sin duda para mi la mejor versión de las leyendas de la tabla redonda. Ya tiene casi 30 años y cada vez que la pillo por la tele no puedo evitar acabarla. Grandísima película. Muy bien ambientada. Gran banda sonora. Buena interpreatación.

no that's the inverse...It was Brittany to Great Britainand the latest welsh Arthurian materialOriginally the myth is from Brittany, Brocéliande
bryntyrch2 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
There is a historical tradition of migration from Britain to Brittany in c 550, which would explain the similarity between Welsh and Breton, and explain the French accretion to the early welsh Arthurian material.

I can partialy answer that question. They are who the legend calls "The Three Lamenting Queens". I know the identity of two of them. One was Morgan la Fey (Arthur's half sister) and the other was the Lady of the Lake. But I forget who the third one was.
